The following medicines may lower the seizure threshold, facilitate the seizure and prolong the duration of the seizure, but can be used with the necessary precautions when your doctor absolutely requires their use.

Antitussives (ephedrine, pseudoephedrine)

Sudafed

Eksofed

Benical

Peditus

Bronchodilators

Ventolin (nebulizer is safer but overdose should be avoided)

Brycanil

Antihistamines (new generation antihistamines can be used more safely)

Avil amp (can be used in hospital conditions), (clemastine -tavegyl; can be used safely.

Antibiotics

Patients using macrolide group (erythromycin, azithromycin, azitro, macrol, clacid), especially carbamazepine -tegretol, carbalex, may show signs of intoxication due to increased drug dose in the blood.
