Across the wide spectrum of childhood neurological and developmental conditions, we reach a precise diagnosis through detailed history, neurological examination and the necessary tests (EEG, MRI, genetic, metabolic), then build a diagnosis-led, individualised treatment and follow-up plan. This website is for information only and is not a substitute for diagnosis, treatment, or prescription. Any definitive diagnosis and treatment decision is made through an in-person examination at the practice.
- Copies of previous tests: MRI, EEG/EMG, and blood results, plus medical history
- A list of all current medications
- Any previous doctor's reports and discharge summaries
The visit usually takes 2–3 hours: pre-assessment, the doctor's examination, diagnostic and follow-up tests, interpretation of those tests, and a final consultation with the doctor. As the child is usually not present for the final discussion, we suggest bringing an adult relative or family friend who can stay with your child during that time. No tests are required before you arrive; any needed investigations are planned after the examination and arranged on the same day where possible.
